Automotive Mechanic / Auto Technician

Job Description

A well-equipped auto garage is looking for a skilled, dependable Automotive Mechanic to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of German, Japanese, Korean, American, or European passenger vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake pads, fluids, belt replacements, and tire services.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using computerized scan tools (OBD-II) and traditional troubleshooting methods.
• Repair and overhaul major vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, steering, and cooling systems.
• Inspect vehicles thoroughly to detect unaddressed faults and recommend safety repairs.
• Track each vehicle's repair progress using job cards and properly organize invoices with their corresponding job cards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work stall while properly managing workshop tools and equipment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience as a mechanic in a professional garage or dealership.
• Strong knowledge of engine diagnostics, suspension systems, and general automotive repair.
• Familiarity with workshop documentation, job card tracking, and billing coordination.
• Transferable Qatar ID (QID) with NOC preferred for immediate local hire.
• Basic English or Arabic communication skills.
