General Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the setup, launch, and ongoing operations of Lina Farage Qatar.

The General Manager will work closely with ownership during the establishment phase and will be responsible for developing the operational and commercial structure of the business, building and managing the team, and overseeing performance across all revenue channels.

This is a hands-on management position requiring strong experience in premium F&B, hospitality, or specialty retail, together with commercial, operational, and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the operational setup and launch of Lina Farage Qatar.
• Establish operating procedures, workflows, controls, and service standards.
• Support the setup and opening of the chocolate boutique and tea room.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Oversee daily boutique and tea room operations.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, product presentation, and hospitality.
• Manage inventory, stock control, purchasing, product availability, and wastage.
• Coordinate product imports, logistics, and supplier requirements.
• Oversee online sales, order fulfillment, gifting, and delivery operations.
• Manage wedding and event inquiries, quotations, orders, and execution.
• Develop and manage corporate gifting accounts and orders.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow sales across all business channels.
• Prepare and monitor sales targets, budgets, costs, and operational KPIs.
• Provide regular sales, inventory, and performance reports to ownership.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, contractors, and other service providers.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, licensing, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels and control operating expenses.
• Support seasonal planning, particularly for key gifting periods and events.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven management experience in premium chocolate, confectionery, specialty food retail, cafés, hospitality, luxury F&B, or a closely related sector.
• Strong operational and commercial management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage both retail and hospitality operations.
• Experience in team recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing, stock control, and cost management.
• Sales-driven mindset with experience developing revenue opportunities.
• Experience with corporate gifting, events, catering, or B2B sales is an advantage.
• Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to take ownership of operations and work with limited supervision.
• Good financial understanding, including budgets, margins, sales targets, and cost control.
• Professional proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Qatar or GCC experience is preferred.
• Relevant experience in launching or establishing a new F&B or retail operation is highly preferred.

Reporting

The General Manager will report directly to ownership and will be accountable for the operational and commercial performance of Lina Farage Qatar.
