Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of welding, mechanical systems, and piping in compliance with offshore standards.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Execute Inspection & Test Plans for mechanical and welding activities.
• Verify materials, consumables, and equipment against approved specifications.
• Supervise and coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs, and monitor corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, welding records, material certificates, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure compliance with offshore safety and quality standards.
• Liaise with project managers, QA/QC teams, and subcontractors to resolve inspection issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science / Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP / Certification (Welding Inspector / Senior Welding Inspector).
• Minimum 7–10 years of QA/QC inspection experience, with at least 5 years offshore.

Certifications & Training

• CSWIP / Welding Inspector Certification
• Offshore Survival & Safety Training (BOSIET/HUET)
• NDT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT)
