Senior Finance & Accounting Professional - Apply if your dynamic

This is a senior, hands-on position with full ownership of the finance function — not a narrow bookkeeping role. You will report directly to senior leadership and play a key role in decisions around cash flow, vendor negotiations, project profitability, and commercial claims. You’ll manage everything from day-to-day transactions through to full finalization of accounts, while also acting as a trusted commercial partner to the business. Key Responsibilities • Manage full-cycle accounting through to finalization (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) • Apply construction-specific accounting: WIP valuation, retention tracking, cost-to-complete analysis, variation order and claims support • Process monthly payroll and ensure full WPS compliance • Manage banking operations: transfers, guarantees, reconciliations, LCs • Negotiate and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors on payments, terms, and dispute resolution • Prepare management reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for leadership • Maintain accurate records in Sage 50, Tally, and/or ERP systems • Support audits and ensure regulatory compliance Essential Requirements • Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance/accounting within construction, contracting, or trading • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting to finalization • Hands-on proficiency in Sage 50, Tally, and ERP systems • Solid understanding of payroll processing and Qatar WPS compliance • Practical banking experience (transfers, guarantees, reconciliations) • Proven vendor/subcontractor negotiation and coordination skills • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PDF) and comfort using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to support efficiency • Valid Qatar driving license with NOC — mandatory • Fluent English (written and spoken) Desirable Skills • Job costing and cost accounting for construction projects • Experience with retention accounting, advance payment guarantees, and performance bonds • Exposure to variation order/claims financial analysis • Knowledge of Qatar VAT/tax compliance • Experience liaising with external auditors • Arabic language skills • Professional qualification (ACCA, CMA, CPA) or progress toward one What’s on Offer • A senior role with real ownership and direct access to leadership • Stability with a long-established, reputable company • Broad, well-rounded exposure to construction and contracting finance • Competitive compensation, based on experience How to Apply Please submit your CV along with a brief note on your experience with construction/contracting finance, Sage/Tally/ERP systems, and WPS payroll processing.
