Celebrate Eid with FBQ Museum with your family and get involved in the various workshops and activities.
FBQ Museum is offering family oriented museum tours with experienced guides telling you all the stories around different aspects of their diverse collection.
Be an artist for one day at FBQ Museum!
Choose from a range of activities and workshops below. All workshops are led by education specialists, trained to bring out the artist in all those participating. Open to all age groups.
Fee: QR 60 per participant, per session
Painting Workshop
Use the FBQ Museum collection as inspiration to be an artist! Participants will be able to draw from the collection themes and delve into their creative energies to produce their own painting artwork that they can then take home to frame and hang, or just gift it to a special person.

Saturday: 10am – 11am

Calligraphy Workshop
An Arabic calligraphy artist will teach children and adults the art of Arabic Calligraphy and its uses in different forms of art and objects.
Participants will be able to distinguish different styles of Arabic Calligraphy and try to produce an artwork themselves.
Arabic Calligraphy has been an important form of art with which Muslims and Arabs alike used to make their homes and objects beautiful since the inception of Islamic Art.

Collage Workshop
Through the use of recycled paper, magazines and newspapers, participants will learn how to structure a collage.
Participants are encouraged to bring with them old magazines and newspapers to be recycled at the workshop through fantastic artworks.
Everyone will learn how to produce an artwork and will be able to take it home at the end of the workshop.
Participants are encouraged to bring with them old Newspapers and Magazines to recycle into artworks at the workshop!

Clay Sculpture Workshop
Participants will receive training on how to manipulate clay to produce small scale sculptures. This is a particularly messy activity that will definitely bring out the artist in all participants.
This activity is about getting messy at the same time that it promotes artistic freedom to all participants to come up with different forms and shapes conveying creative stories.

Drawing Workshop
Every drawing starts with a line and is the result of many lines articulating together images and forms representing ideas and stories.
In this workshop, participants will have the chance to move through the museum, look at the collection and draw their reactions to objects, artworks and areas of the museum.
At the end of this workshop, all participants will feel conformable with the pen and pencil and on how to start and finish a drawing of their own.

LEGO Workshop
Discover new and innovative ways to learn with Lego Education. Come and discover exciting ways to motivate students/young people/children through Lego.
Encourage your child to explore their artistic thinking and creativity. We incorporate unique learning tools using LEGO Education sets in our sessions.
