DFI Cinema Presents 'The Other Side of Hope'

DFI is excited to invite you to our first screening of the year - 'The Other Side of Hope' by Aki Kaurismäki. As deadpan as the best of Kaurismäki's work, and with a deep well of empathy for its down-but-not-out characters, 'The Other Side of Hope' is a bittersweet tale of human kindness in the face of official indifference.

The film is part of 'Contemporary Releases', a selection of the latest internationally and regionally acclaimed films. The series will include recent festival favourites, as well as the emerging new voices of DFI granted filmmakers.

All screenings take place at the Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium on 25 and 26 January.
