Education City Team Relay Triathlon 2022
In conjunction with Qatar Foundation, We are pleased to announce one final season-ending Triathlon which will take place at Education City on Friday 13th May. In order to celebrate FIFA 2022, we will follow a world cup theme where you can race for your country too! This triathlon takes place at the usual venue at Qatar Academy Primary using the Recreation Centre 50m indoor pool for the swim, with the bike and runs a course on closed-off internal roads in Education City.

The unique one-off format will be a "mega-sprint" short course Triathlon where Teams of 4 triathletes will consecutively complete the entire course (100m Pool Swim, 5km Bike, 1.2km Run) - similar to the Olympic Team Relay that was launched at the Olympic Games in Tokyo ----- 4 team members - going ALL-OUT for 15-20 minutes, back to back.
7 RACE CATEGORIES
"World Cup" Mixed Relay - 2 Males + 2 Females - representing their country
"World Cup" Open Relay - 4 Triathletes (any gender) - representing their country
Corporate Relay - 4 Triathletes from the same company (any gender, can include family members of company employees)
Open Team Relay - 4 Triathletes (any gender/age) - come up with a team name
Pandemonium Relay - Up to 6 Athletes (any gender/age) - transition between any race leg eg. swap chip between swim/bike/run
Junior Relay - 4 Triathletes - Secondary (age 7-18 years old)
Kids Relay - 4 Triathletes - Primary School (age 7-12 years old)
