Katara to host 'Passage to India' Festival

KATARA the Cultural Village in Qatar will host the second edition of 'A Passage to India', the biggest festival of the Indian expatriate community so far, on March 19 and 20.

The event is being organised by the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) under the aegis of Indian Embassy.

The two-day festival will feature a wide variety of cultural programmes to be presented by 455 members from over 100 socio-cultural organisations and different Indian schools.

A photo exhibition of Islamic monuments in India and the replica of India's historical icon- India Gate at the sea front of Katara will be the key attraction of the festival. Besides, an exhibition of Indian handicrafts and Indian cuisines will also be held as part of the festival.

The festival will open to the public from 2 pm to 10 pm on Thursday and 10 am to 10 pm on Friday. The entry to the festival will be free of charge.
