Mafjar Beach Cleanup - DEAP Qatar
DEAP Qatar arranges the Northwest Qatar Beach Cleanup on Friday, 3 June. We are going to the beautiful beach. This is a kid and family-friendly activity.
Direct Message (DM) on DEAP Qatar Instagram to register for the beach cleanup. Please only confirm if you are 100% certain you are coming. DEAP Qatar will send you a confirmation message if there are enough spaces available, including the exact cleanup location.
AGENDA:
- 4:15 pm arrival to the meeting point. We will meet up north by the side of the road.
- 4:15-5:30pm cleanup activities.
- 5:30-6:30 pm social time, enjoy a beautiful sunset. People depart whenever they want.
- 6:30 pm end of the event.
DETAILS / WHAT TO BRING:
-TRANSPORTATION: Volunteers need to have their own transportation. SUV Are preferred as the beach has pockets of deep sand.
-Green Ehteraz is required. Wearing a face mask at the cleanup is OPTIONAL.
-Bring your QID or passport. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
-Bring your own gloves, work or gardening gloves are recommended. Bags will be provided.
-Dress PROPERLY: Be respectful of local culture. Shoulders covered, no small shorts. Long shorts or pants are preferred. Don’t forget sun protection.
-Bring your own food and drinks. Feel free to bring something to share (not mandatory). We encourage people to bring reusable water bottles and food that’s not too heavily packaged so we can produce less waste (practice what we preach). You can bring food to share if you wish. Bring enough water to drink. It’s getting hot.
-There are NOT any toilets or facilities on site. There’s always a petrol station along the way.
