Singing Sand Dunes Cleanup
Doha Environmental Actions Project, DEAP Qatar brings you Singing Sand Dunes Cleanup 2022, a kid and family-friendly activity this Friday. Due to Covid restrictions, we have LIMITED spaces.
Date: Friday, 11th of March 2022
Timings: 3 PM
AGENDA:
-3:00pm arrival to the meeting point
-3:00pm-4:15pm cleanup activities.
-4:15-5:15 social time, enjoy a clean dune. People depart whenever they want.
Direct Message (DM) on DEAP Qatar's Instagram to register for Singing Sand Dunes Cleanup 2022.
- Let them know how many people are coming with you. They will send you a confirmation message if there are enough spaces available, including the exact cleanup location.
DETAILS / WHAT TO BRING:
-Volunteers must have their own transportation. SUVs are preferred. There’s asphalt almost all the way. The last 300 meters get a little bumpy.
-Green Ehteraz is required. Wearing a face mask and social distancing is MANDATORY.
-Bring your QID or passport. Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
-Bring your own gloves, work or gardening gloves are recommended. Bags will be provided.
-Dress PROPERLY: Be respectful of local culture. Shoulders covered, no small shorts. Long shorts or pants are preferred. Don’t forget sun protection. Bring a sweater as it may be cold.
-Bring your own food and drinks. We encourage people to bring reusable water bottles and food that’s not too heavily packaged so we can produce less waste (practice what we preach). You can bring food to share if you wish.
-There are NOT any toilets or facilities on site. There’s always a petrol station along the way.
