Singing Sand Dunes Cleanup 2023
DEAP Qatar arranges the Singing sand dunes cleanup on Friday, 13 January. This is a kid and family-friendly activity.
Direct Message (DM) on DEAP Qatar Instagram to register for the beach cleanup. Please only confirm if you are 100% certain you are coming. DEAP Qatar will send you a confirmation message if there are enough spaces available, including the exact cleanup location.
DETAILS / WHAT TO BRING:
-Volunteers need to have their own transportation. SUV preferred, sedans can reach the base of the dune although the last 200 meters are bumpy/rocky.
-Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
-Gloves pickers and bags will be provided.
-Please dress PROPERLY: Shoulders and knees covered, no small shorts. Long shorts or pants are ok. Bring a sweater in case is cold.
-Don’t forget sun protection.
-Bring your own food and drinks. Please bring a reusable water bottle. We will have a refill station for everyone to use. Feel free to bring something to share (not mandatory), but please make sure it is something that’s not too heavily packaged so we produce less waste (practice what we preach).
-There are NOT any toilets or facilities on the beach. However, there are toilets in a petrol station 10 min away.

-We will send you a confirmation message.
AGENDA:
-3:00pm arrival to the dunes. PLEASE BE ON TIME! We will start at 3 pm sharp.
-3:00 - 4:00 pm cleanup activities.
-4:00 -5:00 pm social time, enjoy a beautiful beach and sunset. People depart whenever they want.
-5:00pm end of the event.
