Qatar court convicts six Pinoys over 'wild party'
06/05/2007 | 12:30 AM

Six Filipinos – three men and three women -- were among eight Asians ordered deported by a court in Qatar after having been found guilty of organizing a “wild party" on Christmas Day in 2005.

The same court acquitted three other Filipino men and an Indian national, saying the public prosecution failed to show they knew what was going on at the party.

The Gulf Times reported Monday that the 12 accused were arrested in an apartment in Doha on charges that they were “planning to have a group sex party" two Christmases ago.

The report said three men and three women were caught in uncompromising positions in one of the rooms when the police arrived at the scene. The others were said top be waiting in the drawing room.

The two other Asians convicted along with the Filipinos were a Sri Lankan and a Chinese national.
