Myself and better half went to try the Lebanese Buffet...

Myself and better half went to try the Lebanese Buffet today. The Fish Market do one of these every Friday between 12 noon and 3pm.
On walking in I knew I was in for a good time when I spotted the cooked and prepared shell fish on display in a large ice tray. Lobsters, mussels, oysters, crab along with the biggest prawns I have ever seen.
We did not have a reservation, but were seated quickly. The view over the beach is a perfect setting, and our table by the window gave us the ability to enjoy it. Service was as good as the best I have ever experienced. We were comfortable and made to feel very welcome.
The Buffet includes several varieties of Chardonnay in the price, but water and coffee are on top.
We were spoilt for choice, and struggled to make up our minds what we were going to give priority to. There was no way we were going to manage to try everything. I love smoked salmon, and that got a good hammering from me. As well as the shellfish, there was sushi and sushimi, about 6 or 7 hot dishes, and a vast Lebanese style salad selection.
When it came to dessert (also included in the price), we loaded our plates with a small sample of the extensive range on offer. Once again there were far too many options to be able to try them all.
I have tried to describe the extensive selection of fayre on offer, but have not mentioned the quality and taste. This is because words fail me. I will try and sum it up in one word - AWESOME!!
At QR 240 per head it's not cheap, but there is no doubt about it we will be returning again and again.
A five star restaurant in a five star hotel, that deserves every single one of those stars.
