Sponsorship Cancellation
Hello,
Unfortunately I have issues with my current Qatar family RP (sponsorship), and it will be soon cancelled. I am currently an employee at a government organization so when this happens they will need to apply for a new RP for me. There won't be time to do a sponsorship transfer from family to the organization at the time being as from what I hear it will take months.
Do you know what will happen to the following during this time?
- bank account
- drivers license
- health insurance
- apartment rent contract
- owned car
Will I need to leave the country as soon as my RP is cancelled?

Following will happen:
bank account - You can keep you bank account active even after you exit Qatar . But if they get to know QID expired, they will put block on transactions.
drivers license - you can get it renewed when you visit qatar again..(for visit visa it will be converted into a temporary license valid until visa validity...)
health insurance ...if it is employer provided..it will be terminated as well.
apartment rent contract - make sure u settle everything...other wise they will approach court.
owned car...you need to sell it or transfer to other name...a person Qatar ID cannot be cancelled without transferring all cars.

As soon as your RP gets cancelled, there is a specific period of time within which you will need to exit Qatar. Previously, it used to be 7 days but lately I heard you can stay for a couple of months from the date of cancellation of RP after which a penalty will be levied for each extra day of stay. You can check on this required grace period and make sure for yourself. Your company's PRO should be able to tell you about this.
As for your queries for the other issue, You can keep you bank account active even after you exit Qatar or close it on the last working day of the bank before your departure. You can keep your drivers licence with you till it expires. Your apartment rent is between you and your landlord and has no connection with your RP or your exit. It is advisable you sort out this matter before you exit. It is also advisable you sell off your car before you leave on your final exit.
