Learn diving and underwater photography with Master Instructor Khaled Zaki

Join master diver and photographer Khaled Zaki for his third diving and underwater photography workshop, presented by the Qatar Photographic Society and Msheireb Museums.

The main topics will concern the diving industry and the history of underwater photography. The workshop will delve into the equipment needed, as well as explain cameras, light systems, strobes and other accessories for an underwater shoot.

Khaled will also highlight advice and hints for underwater photography, and explore the other advanced equipment that can improve underwater photography, such as rebreathers MK6 /Mk7 and DPV underwater scooters.

Entry is free.

About Khaled

Khaled Zaki is a Master Instructor and Marine Consultant for diving and underwater photography and videography, with 25 years of experience in the diving industry.

He’s accumulated knowledge of the regional diving community over the past 20 years with a strong overall diving background from his experience working in the Red Sea, Egypt.

Khaled—a fantastic teacher—has certified thousands of elite divers in the last two decades and has a variety of titles, prizes and recognition for diving and rescue training and underwater filming. He has participated in many prestigious marine projects in the Middle East.

Khaled was responsible for videography and photography as a part of the marine assessment of The Pearl - Qatar and Lusail. He was the diver that mapped out the ocean floor of The Pearl before construction started years ago.

He has produced a variety of marine documentary films with the BBC network, National Geographic, local TV, AlKass TV , AJ+ and AlRayan Channel, and contributed to many articles about diving, tourism and environment.

In 2007 Khaled earned first prize at a film competition. A variety of his underwater photos were recently chosen to be on the official Q Post stamp.
