WATCH: QL Adventures - MFEC Hip Hop Dance Academy
The dance culture in Qatar is often reserved for more traditional styles of movement, however studios such as MFEC (My First Eight Count), are looking to bring their creativity to communities around Qatar.
Our QL Adventure team decided to visit the MFEC studios in Al Khalid Gate to speak to head coach Aris and learn more about the classes (and even try some moves our self). Plus there's an epic dance off between our very own Shaun and the trio of Cha,Ning, Tatum to prove which iconic dance movie is better...Footloose or Step Up.
Check out the video below for the full adventure.
My First Eight Count operates in partnership with Bounce Fitness Qatar and have a syllabus provided by The UDO Academy, and are regarding as Qatar’s 1st HIP-HOP Dance academy, reintroducing the artform of Street Dance.
The class caters to all nationalities and age groups, giving individuals the chance to earn a certification at each level. Each year, the course caps off with an annual dance event giving students the chance to perform in front of a live public crowd. This year, the final event will take place at the Mall of Qatar on the 23 November, 4pm.
