WATCH: QL Geeks visits the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra's Cinemoon ensemble recently took on the challenge of composing a concert filled up entirely with music from popular Anime TV shows and films.

 

Anime, which has a long history in Qatar, has seen a resurgence as of late, with the geek community coming together from to keep their beloved childhood memories alive.

 

The concert, a first of it's kind here in Qatar, offered up theme songs from Pokemon, One Punch Man, Naruto and Death Note, just to name a view. As the new 40 piece orchestra provided one emotional piece after the next, against the backdrop of artwork provided by local Qatari painters, cartoonists and artists. 

The one night only event entitled "Animated Vol.1"took place in Souq Waqif's Abdul Aziz Nasser Theatre.
