Remède Spa — a balm for the senses
We visited the tranquil Remède Spa at the St. Regis Doha Hotel for a morning of relaxation and repose, and came away feeling revitalised and re-energised for the week ahead.
The spa, tucked into a corner of the hotel, has an ambiance of seclusion and peace that allows you to unwind and shake off the stress of the push-and-pull of everyday life.
Upon stepping into the spa, you are immediately greeted by the gracious attendants at the concierge desk, and guided to a ‘relaxation room’, where you can do just that—lie back (under a blanket, if you’re chilly), sip herbal tea and have a small snack if you’re feeling peckish.
A comprehensive menu of facials, massages and body treatments are offered at the spa, with the most recent, cutting edge technology on hand. The spa has separate areas dedicated to males and females, although special treatment rooms are available for couples’ massage treatments.
With its 18 treatment rooms, Remède Spa gives you your pick of sensual experiences, whether that means relaxing in the hydro pool, lounging in the steam room, or just refreshing your cuticles with a mani-pedi.
Remède Spa’s signature treatments include the award winning Himalayan Sound Therapy and the Harmony Massage.
The Himalayan Sound Therapy, awarded the best innovative treatment in the Middle East by Pool and Spa Award 2016, is a perfect way to totally relax the body, mind and spirit. During the treatment, its singing bowls are placed on and around the body as the energy fields are balanced and enhanced through the resonating sound and vibrations.
The Harmony Massage is the latest addition to Remède Spa’s menu. Tailored to relieve tension and stress, two therapists work side-by-side to create the ultimate feeling of relaxation.
Customised massages are also on offer, and can last anywhere between 30 to 120 minutes depending on just how much you need to relax.
Remède Spa offers a number of treatment packages, lasting anywhere between 2 and a half to 4 hours.
Exclusive packages for couples are also available, with a special couples’ therapy massage room that allows you and your spouse to pamper yourselves together. The Romantic Wedding Treatment is great option for newly weds to treat themselves.
The spa’s facial treatments are exceptional, delivered by expert estheticians while you recline in the calming atmosphere of one of Remède’s massage rooms. The products used in these treatments consist of all-natural ingredients, and come from the award-winning luxury brand Elemis, which happens to be the number one anti-aging skincare brand in Britain.
We were lucky enough to treat ourselves to one of the signature natural facial treatments during our visit. After deep exfoliation and an incredibly soothing facial massage, a cooling face mask was applied to the skin. The esthetician was precise, skillful and thorough, with the end result being a glowing face and an overall easing of tension in the body and mind.
Massage treatments can range anywhere between 400 to 980 QAR, depending upon long you’re looking to lounge, and facial treatments range between 450 to 1,020 QAR. The mani-pedi options range between 200 and 400 QAR, with both the Classic and Express O.P.I. options to choose from, along with a customized, in-room massage.
