WATCH: 14th Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition
The 14th Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, showcasing this year’s Autumn/Winter collections, is back for another successful run at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) this October. Commencing with a Grand Opening Day on the October 26th and concluding on October 30th, the event has an extensive, fashion-centric schedule of activities that will delight style conscious ladies all over Qatar.
The Heya Exhibition, organised by Design Creationz and sponsored by Tajmeel, is Qatar’s largest and most influential fashion event. Providing a platform for Arabian and modest fashions, the event not only showcases designers and brands from all over the world, but also shines a light on the growing number of Qatari brands in the fashion arena. Indeed, over 170 Qatari brands will be represented at the show, alongside brands from 14 other nations, including Kuwait, China, Hong Kong, Italy, Oman, Turkey and the USA.
The event will host more than 300 designers and brands, showcasing the latest Arabian fashion designs for abayas, jalabiyas, kaftans, hijabs, shaylas, veils and evening gowns. Doha’s ladies may peruse unique and boutique collections, high street apparel, and couture and luxury collections, as well as make-up and perfume, and a myriad of accessories, including bags, shoes and belts.
Held alongside the main exhibition, the event will host daily, inspirational fashion forums and hands-on workshops led by industry experts, as well as a variety of glamorous fashion shows. Monday evening will host an awards night from 7:30pm onwards, to recognise and honour key players in the Arabian fashion industry. On Tuesday evening graduates of the Qatar International Beauty Academy will attend for the Tajmeel Graduation ceremony.
The exhibition will open its doors on Friday 26th at 4pm to the general public, closing after the final fashion show of the evening at 11pm. Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday the exhibition runs from 10am to 10pm. Monday runs from 12 noon to 10pm. Friday events are open to families, including husbands and fathers. All other event days are Ladies only days, with access for girls of 13 years and above only.
