Under the gracious patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau is pleased to announce the launch of The Mystery Shopper Initiative. An Initiative that emphasizes on importance of the customer experience and aims to develop government services. Fifty volunteers will be selected from the community to evaluate their experiences with government services. They will be requested to fill out the evaluation templates and send it to the government development team in the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. Where the team will study the experiences and make recommendations to the concerned authorities to improve the customer experience.

The mystery shoppers will be selected on a diverse basis of nationalities, age groups, and occupations to ensure diverse experiences. This initiative is open for citizens and residents who meet the eligibility criteria of being a citizen or resident for a minimum of 2 years, a minimum age of 18 years old, showing credibility, responsibility and care to improve the public services.

This was announced in the press conference held today at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, where it was announced that the application submission period will open today and run for a month on the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau’s website.

In addition to the above, the responsibilities of mystery shoppers include; attending the workshops provided by the organizing team,  evaluating the customer experience in government services, adhering to the evaluation tools provided by the organizing team , adhering to confidentiality about being a mystery shopper and notifying the team if any of the eligibility conditions changes ( for example: prolonged travel abroad). This initiative aims to engage the community in evaluating and enhancing government services, directing the efforts of government development and emphasizing the importance of the customer experience.

This announcement comes in line with The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau’s mandate of achieving the highest standards of organizational and administrative modernization, in addition to enhancing the overall performance of the government services.

In this regard, The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau is pleased to invite citizens and residents to apply to be mystery shoppers on behalf of the government here.
