Heenat Salma Farm: An oasis of tranquility

Heenat Salma project pursues holistic approaches to agriculture, architecture, and community development. We have succeeded in converting a local conventional farm into an organic one, growing desert-friendly plants and vegetables, diversifying local food production, and ensuring a sustainable home-grown food supply in Qatar.
This project intends to change the attitudes of future generations by raising awareness, promoting education, and by spreading traditional knowledge, values, and beliefs to a younger generation. In this unique experience, you can learn about farming and gardening in the context of a real-world working environment.
“At Heenat Salma, our initiative is centered around 7 key themes: Agriculture, Wellness, Food & Beverage, Lodging, Events, Artisanal Concept Stores, and a Creative residency. We aim to serve farm-to-table curated menus using our 100% organic farm produce, slow cooked to perfection using artisanal techniques providing wholesome and nutritional food” said Farah Al Yasin, Head of Creative Residency at Heenat Salma.
The farm currently oversees and grows over 50 different varieties of homegrown vegetables, fruits, and dairy products and soon will feature honey and meats from natural sources.
The Majlis area provides a relaxing, warm environment, perfect for a restful and wellness experience. These include a therapy room, an outdoor terrace, a lap pool with holistic massage and meditation to balance physical and mental health. Promoting ethical action through engaging with people, we offer educational programs engaging children and adults with the arts, crafts, agriculture, architecture, and sustainable design thinking.
“We are a diverse group of scholars, entrepreneurs, artists, health, and wellness professionals that have gathered together to help the preservation of culture, architecture and sustainable entrepreneurship. As we embark on this voyage working for humanity, and the Earth that is our home; we aim to become a cultural hub for the community fostering creativity while preserving history and culture,” said Ms. Al Yasin.
“With the FIFA World Cup 2022 fast approaching, we expect to showcase our holistic offerings to a much wider international audience by providing a variety of traditional lodges for residents and visitors to stay at Heenat Salma and experience first-hand curated offers that will leave them with a sense of rejuvenation, calm, spiritual awakening and balance,” she added.
