Qetaifan Projects, a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality, announced the awarding of residential and commercial plot reservations (villas and towers) of the first phase to investors at a gala dinner held at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

The dinner was attended by H.E Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of Katara Hospitality, H.E Sheikh Nasser Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Vice Chairman of Katara Hospitality and Managing Director of Qetaifan Projects, as well as Qetaifan Projects’ Chiefs; Mr. Mohamed ElGarhy – Chief Technical Officer, Mr. Hesham Sharaf – Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Jean Antonios – Chief Legal Officer. In addition to Mr. Nasser Al Ansari – Chief Executive Officer of Just Real Estate. The event was also attended by other VIP guests and investors interested in owning properties at Qetaifan Island North.

Due to the high demand for bookings at the company's booth during Cityscape 2019, bookings were awarded for ownership by bidding on the down payment in cooperation with Just Real Estate, the exclusive real estate broker.

The gala dinner witnessed great attendance from the plot owners and investors, who expressed their delight with this ambitious national project which aims to serve all sectors of the country, most importantly the tourism and hospitality sectors as the first entertainment island in Qatar.

Qetaifan Island North is designed to be Qatar’s future iconic destination with its unique elements and attractions that the whole family can enjoy; starting with the waterpark inspired by the Qatari culture and the production of oil & gas, the luxurious hotel operated by Rixos for the first time in Qatar, in addition to diversified waterfronts, a linear park along the island surrounded by retail outlets and services, distinct waterfront neighborhoods, a mosque, school, and world-class spas.

The Beach Club is the first project planned for completion by the first quarter of 2020, featuring a clubhouse that offers an assemblage of activities to be enjoyed by the whole family.

On this occasion, H.E Sheikh Nawaf Bin Jassim Bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of Katara Hospitality, said: “Qetaifan Projects represents a milestone in our commitment to invest in developing the tourism industry and strengthening the local hospitality sector in Qatar. Katara Hospitality’s vision is to change the hospitality world through investment and innovation, which will leave a prominent legacy for future generations in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. "

Then he added: “This project reinforces our position in the local hospitality sector as a major player shaping the tourism industry, which would create a safe and sustainable investment that bears the name of the State of Qatar.”

H.E Sheikh Nasser Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Vice Chairman of Katara Hospitality and Managing Director of Qetaifan Projects, valued the attendance of investors, saying “We are honored to welcome the first owners of Qetaifan Island North’s phase 1 plots. This, though, demonstrates Qetaifan Projects' position in the local real estate development market and reflects the confidence that corresponds to the achievements and ambition for Qetaifan Island North to the highest international standards and compete as the first leisure and entertainment touristic destination in Qatar. Which puts on us more responsibility by our commitment to provide the best for our beloved country." He continued, "We are working hard to add to the real estate development market in the recent period, and we consider the Qetaifan Island North as a starting point for Qetaifan projects towards the development of more projects serving the various sectors of the country.”

It is worth mentioning that Qetaifan Island North, located off Lusail city, features seven beaches; which makes it the city’s distinct waterfront destination. The island spans approximately 1.3 million square meters with 830,000 square meters of attractions.

Imagine living in a place where everything you might need is at your fingertips, and now imagine if that place is also an Island!

This is what differentiates Qetaifan Island North from any other development. An island that enables you to enjoy the luxury of living with all the required services and facilities away from the crowded city. Some of the most important facilities featured at Qetaifan Island North are the school and health center; which will add value to the island and make it an attractive location for investment that works for the benefit of all parties; from residents to the investor.
