For anyone with a sweet tooth, Qatar has a range of options extending from crepes and knafeh to chocolate treats and gelato.

1. Sugar & Spice

Located in Aspire Park and Lagoona Mall, Sugar & Spice features a mouthwatering collection of sweets, and is known for its cheerful and friendly staff and quirky purple decor. (We highly recommend the goody jar).

Lagoona Mall branch: 44114456

2. Al Aker Sweets

Specialising in Middle Eastern Desserts, Al Aker Sweets is one of Qatar’s most popular dessert spots. With branches all over Qatar and the Gulf, the sweet shop is best known for its delicious knafeh, a cheese based dessert that melts in your mouth.

3. Dipndip

Dipndip’s menu is chalk full of waffles, ice cream and crepes smothered in the luscious, signature dipndip chocolate.

4. Magnolia Bakery

The famed New York bakery is a crowd favourite here in Qatar. It offers all sorts of baked delights, but is best known for its attractively decorated cakes and dainty cupcakes.

5. Chac’late

This quaint establishment at Katara goes the extra mile with its elegantly plated sweet treats, and is arguably one of the best chocolate experiences in the country. HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is known to have frequented it.
