Soulful Lebanese cuisine has a new home in Doha
Lovers of Lebanese cuisine (and who doesn’t love it?) now have a ‘must visit’ Doha restaurant that comes with the highest credentials.
Welcome to the upscale Levantine Restaurant located in Hilton Doha The Pearl Hotel & Residences, where the signature menu has been crafted in collaboration with the charismatic Lebanese celebrity and TV Chef Joe Barza.
In Doha for Levantine’s official launch, Chef Joe hosted a celebratory luncheon for media who discovered its tantalizing meats flash-grilled on hot coals, fragrance of exotic spices, and outdoor and indoor spaces.
Diners were also entertained when Chef Joe revealed some of his best-kept secret techniques during a live cooking experience and lunch.
And as the aromas of spiced and grilled meats, vegetables, seafood, and fish-filled the air, Levantine got Chef Joe’s official seal of approval.
“Hailing from the Levant, I am thrilled that our world-renowned healthy and highly varied cuisine has landed such a fine dining platform,” said Chef Joe. “It has been a pleasure and an honor to work with Executive Chef Thibaut Pouplard and his skilled and enthusiastic team in bringing to life a menu which focuses on the sharing and gathering social culture of my home.”
With a contemporary setting, Levantine’s vibrant atmosphere colorfully reflects Lebanon’s warm, welcoming lifestyle. With images of the country flanking the walls, guests can savor a fine dining experience of new taste while enjoying hot sand coffee preparation.
Levantine has a creative menu where traditional dishes have been given signature touches, complemented by a selection of fresh homemade drinks made from locally sourced ingredients, coupling classic mixes with traditional twists.
Open daily for dinner from 6 pm to midnight, Levantine guests enter a world of live theater-style cooking of Lebanese favorites, including flash-charcoal-grilled spiced meats, seafood and vegetables, spit-roasted lamb and chicken, and fresh bread baking.
Traditional dishes with a ‘Barza’ touch include hot and cold mezzes, imaginative hummus choices and five Lebanese manakish flatbreads.
Noteworthy selections include exquisite grilled catch of the day – a fennel and lime preparation; grilled octopus – made from lemon jam and garlic; and grilled jumbo shrimps – a blend of red chili paste, cumin and coriander and the roasted lamb leg, a great sharing option for 3-4 diners.
Guests can also relish traditional Lebanese sausage, makanek, or opt for fresh, vegetarian choices before digging into a selection of the finest desserts.
The laid-back Levantine lifestyle is also reflected on the terrace, where seating is available in a Mediterranean ambiance.
