Talabat, the region’s leading food delivery and q-commerce platform dedicated its app toward giving back during Ramadan.

After tying up with over 15 charities across the markets it operates in, Talabat customers were able to give back to a number of different causes through the app.

With the promise of being always there for those in need, Talabat facilitated the value of 51,337 meals donations in Qatar.

In Qatar, Talabat partnered with Qatar Charity to create specially curated Ramadan menus, through which customers could donate Iftar meals to offer assistance to those in need.

The dedicated “Giving back” banner inside the Talabat app has seen a surge in customers’ donations, with a daily record of QAR 49,000 raised on May 7 alone, with a total of QAR 620,000 for Qatar Charity during the whole Ramadan period, an increase of 210 percent compared to last year.

Francisco Miguel de Sousa, Managing Director of Talabat Qatar said, “Our customers take such an important stand into donating and helping year after year, and we thrived to be able to give them the platform to do so this Ramadan. Helping to feed people in need has been a major priority for us and we are delighted to have facilitated 51,337 meal donations to Qatar Charity. We would like to heartily thank our customers for their generous donations, as it would not have been possible without you."

Consumers can now download Talabat on the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to donate to a range of causes.
