1. Amara 

Amara is an authentic North Indian restaurant which is a popular go-to-spot for famous Indian dishes, especially Punjabi. 

The restaurant was carefully constructed to have a cheerful atmosphere with a menu designed to fit both busy schedules as well as leisure times. 

Amara has various seafood and vegetarian options for different preferences and tastes as well. 

Amara has a large menu with options such as soup, salad, vegetarian curry, vegetarian, chicken, chicken curry, lamb, lamb curry, seafood, seafood curry, biryani, rice, side order, dessert and drinks. 

These different menu sections offer a variety of food dishes such as tamater dhaniya shorba, caesar salad, paneer makhai, veg kabab platter, tandoori murgh, murgh makhani butter chicken, tandoori pasliyan, mutton rogan josh, non-veg kebab platter, goan fish curry, vegetable dum biryani, mutton pulao, alu papdi chat, etc. 

The dessert and drinks options include gulab jamun, rasmalai, mint mojito, fruit punch, etc.

Amara is located in the Al-Muthanna Complex in Salwa Road. They are open from 12:00pm to 12:00am everyday. Take-out options include pick-up orders from the restaurant and filling out the delivery form on their website.

Amara can also be found on delivery platforms such as Talabat, Carriage, Rafeeq and Foodak.

2. MRA 

MRA is an extremely popular Indian chain in Doha that serves primarily Kerala-style food, with multiple branches all around the city. They are a restaurant, bakery, and offer catering -- all in one. 

MRA’s menu is extremely wide, with 21 different sections, and a large list of dishes under each section. 

The menu categories include soups and salads, starters, Malabar cuisine, chicken specialties, Rayroth specialties, Chinese specialties, Malabar and tandoor breads, north Indian and vegetarian specialties, biryani and rice specialties, clay oven and barbeque, breakfast, breakfast curries, fresh fruit juices, lassis and smoothies, milkshake and falooda, mocktails, fruit and nut shakes, hot snacks, hot beverages, chaat menu (only at the Asian town branch), and desserts. 

The food categories include dishes such as chicken soup, vegetarian soup, greek salad, Kerala chilli chicken, prawn pepper masala, kuttanadan roast mutton, Rayroth squid ghee roast, butter chicken, aloo gobi masala, schezwan chicken, malabar biryani, mixed noodles, idiyappam, roti, tava chicken, dosa, idly chicken, mutton kheema, egg bhurji, fish roll, chicken burger, pani puri, etc. 

The drinks categories include watermelon juice, lime juice, pineapple lassi, fresh lime soda, orange punch, strawberry banana smoothie, mango shake, banana split, true blue, blueberry magic, tea, etc. The dessert categories include vanilla ice cream, ras malai, brownie with ice cream, etc.

MRA currently has four branches located in Old Ghanim, Salwa Road, Markhiya, and Asian town respectively. They also have a “pick & go” service, which allows customers to place orders by call and pick up their orders at any of the branches.

MRA is also available on delivery platforms such as Talabat, Wishbox, Snoonu, Fingertips, etc. 

MRA has also opened two express restaurants, located in Al Sadd, Safari Mall, Lusail Woqod Petrol Station, and Lulu Hypermarket Ezdan Oasis.

3. Saffron Lounge
 

Saffron Lounge is an award-winning restaurant located in the popular Katara Cultural Village. They provide customers with exotic gourmet Indian food with the intention of serving a good mix of modern and retro Indian cuisine. 

    Saffron Lounge has an a la carte menu, a beverages menu, and a set menu. 

    The a la carte menu consists of different types of chaats, soups and salads, appetizers, tandoori kebabs, mains, awadhi dum biryanis, veg sides, and desserts.

    Saffron Lounge is located in Katara Cultural Village. They are also available on delivery platforms Talabat, Carriage, Rafeeq and Snoonu. Saffron Lounge is open from 12:00pm to 12:00am on weekdays, and 12:00pm to 12:30am on Thursdays, as well as 1:00pm to 12:30am on Fridays.

    4. Zaffran Cafe 

    Zaffran Cafe is a multi-award winning Indian cafe that provides authentic Indian street food consisting of the finest sweets, snacks, and chaats. 

    Their menu consists of different sections, such as chaats, south Indian, lite bite, sandwich and rolls, desi Chinese, rozi roti, dry savories, weekend special, breakfast, dessert, and beverages. They also offer an express lunch menu, with multiple set options, as well as a buffet on Fridays. 

    Under the food sections dishes such as pani puri, kanjivaram idli, samosa chhole, keem roll, naan, chicken biryani, sukha bhel, masala dhokla, chicken szechuan, butter chicken, etc, are available.

    5. Vasanta Bhavan Bharath Restaurant 

    Vasanta Bhavan Bharath Restaurant is a vegetarian restaurant that serves a large selection of vegetarian and vegan food. They provide healthy transitional food for meat eaters. 

    Their menu consists of South Indian, soup, starters, North Indian, rice and noodles, Indian breads, dinner, beverages, desserts categories. They also have evening special categories depending on different days of the week.

    You have missed Zaitoon Restaurant & Grills, this have to be added to the top of the list. The quality and taste of their food is top notch. Kindly book your table in advance during the weekends, else need to wait for long time.
