McDonald’s Qatar expands partnership with EAA to offer scholarships for higher education students
In continuation of its dedicated efforts to strengthen and empower the community, McDonald’s Qatar, fully owned and operated by Al Mana Restaurants & Food Company W.L.L., has expanded its existing partnership with Education Above All (EAA) Foundation to sponsor higher education for deserving youth in Qatar.
The initiative comes under the leading quick service restaurant’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform, Rahlatuna, which ambitions to ‘Feed and Foster’ community as part of its firm commitment to the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030. Aligned with this mission, McDonald’s Qatar initiated its partnership with EAA last year, providing support to the foundation’s ongoing endeavors to advance access to education.
Building on the success of the partnership, through its latest offering – the Rahlatuna Scholarship – McDonald’s Qatar will continue to prioritize the needs of the society and offer the financial resources required by ambitious young students to pursue their higher education in the country. Customers can support the generous cause by making a donation of as little as QAR 1 at any of the 74 McDonald’s Qatar restaurant branches located across Qatar.

The Rahlatuna Scholarship will be granted to two high-achieving students who have secured admissions at one of EAA Partner Universities. According to the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in the first year at the university, be a legal resident of the State of Qatar, and must have completed at least 08 academic years at recognized schools in Qatar.
In addition, applicants must be between 16-27 years of age for bachelor’s degrees and must be in need of financial assistance in order to cover their educational expenses. It is also essential that applicants do not receive any other educational aid. Students who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply for the Rahlatuna Scholarship directly at the partner universities.
