Ministry launches new service to issue certificates of private school students via online portal

Building on Qatar’s digitization efforts and adding to its existing online services to bring ease and convenience to the public, Qatar's Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced a new service to issue certificates for private school students through an online portal.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the new service is part of its efforts "to develop public services and move to the online mode of service delivery."
The service will see the certificates of private school students uploaded on the National Student Information System (NSIS) website.

The service will be effective by the end of the 2020-2021 academic year, "right after the students' scores are recorded and approved," the Ministry stated.
Private school students of Grade 1- 12 will be able to avail the new service by this time.
According to the Ministry's Private Schools Licensing Department, "private school principals had already been instructed to upload all students' certificates to the NSIS website so that parents could issue the certificates of their students through the Public Services Portal."
To benefit from this new service, parents will have to create their own usernames and passwords.
