How do you know if there is baby on board if no sign outside ?... Physicaly babies are small cant be seen when sitting or sleeping on the lap of the mother so they put a sign so youll be aware .....

I put it up when I was pregnant because if you rear ended me or otherwise caused me to be in an accident, I could point to that as a reason why I was ripping your stupid head off.

Been discussed a few times..

The story goes, that in the times of Yore in Canada, the sign was displayed so that in case of an accident, the Emergency services would know that they have to look for a minor in the wreckage.

Nowdays, many people just do it to let others know that they were able to father a child ..

Second what NM says. It supposed to mean that you should drive extra carefully around the car, as their is a baby on board. So no passing in the break down lane, riding the persons a$$ and flashing your lights, etc.

well generally, they are meant to make people extra careful...here, it makes zero difference.
