Children delight in fun activities at Summer Entertainment City
For those of you looking to keep your kids busy this summer, the Summer Entertainment City (SEC) at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) is a great option.
Featuring a host of activities including a 'driving school for kids,' SEC makes learning fun for young visitors.
The Kids Driving School allows children to learn about road etiquette and road safety.
Under the supervision of professionals, the school gives young visitors a unique chance to experience what it feels like to drive in the city.
The young drivers are even asked to follow street signs within the area of the driving school.
“Children learn about traffic rules and regulations, which they can be familiar with when they start to drive (at the right age),” QSports business development manager Aya Kassab told Gulf Times.
Kassab said the school is fashioned after driving schools for adults.
The SEC activities are organized by QSports jointly with Qatar National Tourism Council, under the Summer in Qatar program.
In addition to the driving school, SEC is packed with other fun things for children such as video and virtual reality games that they can enjoy with their families.
There are games for children where they can choose the job they would like to do, and they can learn more about the profession through VR.
Other educational activities are run in collaboration with Megapolis, KidzMondo, E-blue Gaming, MiniPolis, Virtuosity, Angry Birds Park and Bounce.
Additionally, SEC also holds a 12-par indoor golf course with “no sun no heat,” giving the young visitors a chance to enjoy golf in comfort.
SEC will continue to offer the activities until July 13.
