Everything you need to know about Qur’anic Botanic Garden in Qatar
Qur’anic Botanic Garden, located in Education City, Qatar Foundation, is the first of its kind in the world.
The garden features plant species mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, and those in the Hadith and Sunnah (Sayings & traditions of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH).
The garden exhibits the botanical terms mentioned in the Holy Qur’an, describing the significance of their mention in the Holy Qur’an, as well as the scientific explanations of composition, application, and usefulness to man.
There are around 60 plant species belonging to three different types of habitats: desert, Mediterranean and tropical.
The harmony between plants and the design of the garden is incredibly beautiful and relaxing. It reflects Islamic architecture and art.

The Qur’anic Botanic Garden can be reached by Doha Metro’s Green Line- Qatar National Library station as well as Education City station. Qatar National Library metro station is just 5 minutes walking distance from the garden.
Explore different plant species, walk around the Sound Garden, or grab a cup of coffee and a book and chill at the Vine Arbour Garden. It’s a perfect place to relax amidst nature.
