The Mahaseel Festival, which lets local farmers directly sell their farm produce to people, is making a comeback soon.

The popular festival, aimed at supporting and promoting the agricultural and livestock sectors in Qatar, has been a massive hit in the past.

The fourth edition of the Mahaseel Festival will kick off at the Katara Cultural Village from December 23.

The market is set to feature Qatari farms selling various types of fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants and local companies offering food products related to livestock, in addition to natural honey and the best varieties of local dates produced by Qatari farms.

Around 22 local farms, flower nurseries and six national companies for dairies and meat products will be participating in the Festival this year.

The Mahaseel Festival will run every day until December 28 and then continue every Friday and Saturday until March 31, 2020.

It will take place at Katara’s southern area from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
