So have you prepared for the much-anticipated weekend? Worry not, if you haven't! An interesting weekend is upon us and here is the list of events we have assembled for you to explore.

1. 2019 VisitQatar Grand Prix

Dates: March 8-10

Where: Losail International Circuit

2019 Grand Prix is set to take place from 8-10 March 2019 at the brilliant Losail International Circuit, which is located on the outskirts of Doha, Qatar.

The Losail International Circuit has hosted Qatar's MotoGP since 2004. Built in just under a year, the circuit has been a regular venue of the MotoGP calendar ever since.

You can watch the races with friends or family in an open air setting where you will be surrounded by the uproar of larger crowds.

2. Aspire International Kite Festival 2019

Dates: March 6-9

Timings: 9 am – 12 pm and 3 pm – 11 pm, Friday 3 pm – 11 pm

Where: Aspire Park

Entry: Entry free for all

One of the most vibrant festivals in Qatar, the Aspire International Kite Festival, will open on Wednesday with its third edition at the Aspire Park turning the skies above the venue into a 3-D artistic platform.

Featuring more than 80 international kite flyers with their fabulous designs, the festival will run from March 6 to 9 and host a kite-flying competition with four award categories.

Holding on to the past years’ traditions, this year will also see a poster competition and a social media photography competition to stimulate creativity amongst the youth.

3. Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Golf Tournament

Dates: March 7-10

Timings: 8 am to 6 pm

Where: Doha Golf Club

Entry: Entry free for all

2019 promises to be another exciting tournament featuring the world's top golfers, and providing you with a wonderful day out with family and friends in beautiful green surroundings.

4. Chi Al Shaqab 2019

Dates: March 7-9

Timings: Thursday 10:45 am. – 8:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 9:30 pm, and Saturday 8:30 am – 7:30 pm

Join in the fun at Al Shaqab this weekend!

Witness three brilliant equestrian disciplines and skills manifested in the only event of its kind in Asia and the Middle East.

Enjoy three days of Show Jumping, Dressage and Para Dressage; where the best national and international horses and riders will battle for one of the most coveted titles in the equestrian calendar.

In addition to the competition, there will be fun activities for families including entertainment zone with interactive video and virtual reality games, F1 and horse simulators, and pony rides.

There will also be a food corner with varieties of food stalls and coffee shops.

5. QIS Spring Fair 2019

Dates: March 8

Timings: 1 pm – 5 pm

Where: Qatar International School

The QIS Spring Fair 2019 is set to take place on March 8, Friday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Qatar International School.

Join in for an amazing bazaar, wide range of food stalls, plenty of games and exciting activities. Spend some quality time with your family and friends as the mercury drops!

6. Stand-Up Comedy Night with Jeeveshu Ahluwalia

Dates: March 8

Get ready to roar with laughter with India’s finest stand-up comedian, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia. He is known for his spontaneous one-liners and caricatured set-ups, he also earned himself a niche fan following!

Jeeveshu Ahluwalia is popularly known as ‘Salman Khan of the fat world’. His acts consist of observational humor mostly based on his own personal life, where he jokes about his weight issues, divorce and over-optimistic mother.
