Always ask the seller if they can provide the original receipt or a certificate of authentication. Many resellers do provide it. Purchase receipts are the best proof that the designer bag you are buying is the original stuff. Bag Condition

Many designer handbags come with date codes or serial number stamped inside them. This unique number can be checked online for authenticity and to determine how old your bag really is. Check the position, font and color of the serial number and the heat stamp usually presented on the interior of the bag.
