How to stay hydrated during summer in Qatar

Did you know that your body loses over half a liter of water per day? Staying hydrated has plenty of benefits, some include improved sleep quality, mood, cognitive function, prevents several infections, and regulates body temperature during the summer in Qatar.

When temperatures in Doha are high, here are some ways to keep cool and hydrated!

Frequent Sips

To prevent dehydration, drink water throughout the day rather than waiting until you feel thirsty. Your urine color can give you an indication of whether you're adequately hydrated – the clearer, the better.

Drink Water

To stay hydrated, drink plenty of water! Yes, it's obvious, but truly essential.  Excessive sweating from working out or the hot weather causes a loss of fluids. In addition, dehydration and high temperatures can contribute to heat-related illnesses. To avoid this, it is best to drink atleast 2 liters of water per day or more depending on how active you are.

Peak Sun Hours

It is best to avoid peak sunlight hours, generally between 10 am and 3 pm, when the UV rays and temperatures are highest. Grab some food (avoid fatty and salty foods) and water and let your body cool off during this time – there are many ways to protect your skin and outsmart the summer in Qatar!

Water-Rich Foods

Vegetables and fruits are easy to digest and contain a high amount of water. In addition, salads and other dishes with fresh produce will make you feel lighter and more hydrated throughout the day.

Alkaline Water

As for staying hydrated, alkaline water is also beneficial as it contains smaller molecules that are more easily absorbed by cells, resulting in a faster rehydration process.

The antioxidant properties of alkaline water prevent the buildup of cell-damaging free radicals in the body which accelerate the aging process.

With the recent launch of Rayyan Alkaline, Rayyan now offers water that has been ionized, with an 8.5 pH level.

Rayyan Pure Natural Mineral Water is equipped with advanced labs, a hygienic fully automated production line, international quality certifications, and several engaging initiatives that make their brand stand out.

Rayyan recommends drinking 8-10 glasses or 1600 -2000 ml/day for women and 8-13 glasses or 1600 – 2600 ml/day for men.

Alkaline water provides many more benefits, including neutralizing acidity by lowering excessive acidity in stomach and gastro-intestinal tract.

Rayyan Alkaline can be found in all stores and supermarkets across Qatar – available in all sizes (200ML, 330ML, 500ML. 1.5L)
