WATCH: An afternoon of serenity at Westin Hotel and Spa

On a hot, slumberous morning, we visited Westin Hotel’s Heavenly Spa. The spa is a place to recover and rejuvenate from the hustle and bustle of Doha, and we came out that afternoon feeling renewed and refreshed, both physically and mentally.

Throughout the spa experience at Heavenly Spa Doha, guests are engaged across seven senses: the five physical senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and scent, as well as the psychological senses of emotion and meaning. 

Westin’s spa offers everything from massage and skin treatments to swimming lessons and fitness training. Memberships allow unlimited access to the Westin Workout facilities, the swimming pools, the Heavenly Spa facilities area and squash courts.

The membership also includes 20% discount off Spa treatments, restaurant and bars (T&C’s apply), as well as a 15% discount off laundry services 10% discount off spa products.

The size and scope of the facilities are part of what makes Westin’s spa stand out. It also helps that there is a separate male and female area, three pools and a luxurious wet area.

The spa’s excellent skin treatments and massages are made complete by the warm, soothing ambience of the spa rooms and stations. 

Each associate is trained fully with each product they work with. Heavenly Spa makes a point to work with industry leaders in facial and skin care including Skinceuticles, Coola and Aromatherapy to ensure that every guest receives a treatment tailored to their skin type and need.  

Westin has a number of swimming pools, including a wave pool that creates peaceful ocean like waves. With an experienced swimming coach on board, those who are new to the water may take lessons. 

Each private session costs QR 200, though you can avail 10 sessions and get another 2 free.
Group sessions, with a maximum of 5 people, are also an option, at a cost of QR 100 per person in each session.

The energizing WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studios offers state of the art Technogym cardio machines, strength-training equipment and free weights. You can power up and stay in peak condition with RunWESTIN and WestinGear Lending.

The Westin Workout trainers have been working within the health and fitness industry for a number of years, from personal training in top private health clubs to bespoke one-to-one studio spaces around the world.

Personal Trainings for members are QR 150 per session, and for nonmembers they are QR 200 per session.

Westin has a broad selection of restaurants to choose from, catering to a varied palate and mood. These include Hunters Room & Grill Seasonal Tastes, Mix Bar, Luxe Lounge and Waves Pool Bar.

We dined at Sabai Thai, where you can indulge in an authentic and award-winning modern interpretation of Royal Thai cuisine. With its beautiful, ornate interior and soothing live music, the restaurant offers an immersive and colourful experience that stays with you. 

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Westin Spa, thanks not only to the sumptuous treatments and facilities, but also to the hospitable, warm and welcoming attitudes of all those we came into contact with who were working to make our experience the best that it could possibly be.
