WATCH: There's something for everyone at this year's Summer Entertainment City
The Summer Entertainment City (SEC) has an array of entertainment, cultural shows and fun-filled activities that both adults and children will enjoy.
SEC, organised by QSports as part of the Qatar Summer Festival (QSF) 2018, is the biggest indoor entertainment facility in the country, with 75 activations and different gaming options at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
“This year we tried to bring a very different flavour, with one of the most advanced virtual reality zones. There’re about 12 skill games and a dedicated football fan zone to celebrate the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia,” QSports founder and board member Adil Ahmed said.
The SEC also features the world’s largest bouncing castle, a mini zoo, kids’ driving school, mini-golf course, robot goalie, food court, shopping Souq, live performance and different games and rides.
The events at DECC will continue until August 31.
The SEC hosts more than 40 food outlets, offering a variety of flavours. To cap it, 40 embassies such as the Philippines, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Kenya, China, Malaysia, and India, among others, are holding cultural shows.
“There’s a daily calendar (of activities and shows). We have a total of more than 700 slots for performances and we’ve lined up more than 300 so far,” Ahmed noted, adding that roaming shows will also entertain visitors.
Individual game prices range from QR 10 to QR 35. Other options are also available for unlimited gaming experience.
