The new Nissan KICKS puts a strong emphasis on connectivity, innovation, and personalization, allowing drivers to express their individuality while cutting through the city with precision handling and various advanced driver assist systems.

The vehicle offers:

  • Highly customizable crossover features, energetic new exterior styling and color options, refined interior, and enhanced connectivity
  • New edition set to sustain KICKS’ success in the region, following an 11% year-on-year increase within its segment market share
  • Crossover SUV gets a technology boost with Nissan Intelligent Mobility upgrades to provide enhanced safety and peace of mind

KICKS has attracted youthful, energetic drivers to Nissan since its launch to the region in 2017 as the entry model to the brand's stable of crossovers and SUVs. It soon earned a reputation for providing an astonishing array of class-leading features at a similarly attractive price, even increasing its market share in the SUV-B sector by 11% year over year during fiscal year 2020 (April 2020 – March 2021).

In order to keep up the trend, the 2019 Nissan KICKS has been updated with new features, technology, customizable style, and value that purchasers demand in a tiny crossover. With the incorporation of Nissan's Double V-motion grille, new front and rear bumpers, and an array of vibrant new colors, including new two-tone combinations, the exterior receives an aesthetic makeover. A new center console, new seats and trim materials, Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM compatibility, and BOSE headrest speakers are all part of the revised interior.

Intelligent Around View® Monitor, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are among the Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technological updates available on the new Nissan KICKS. To provide improved ride comfort and control, all of these class-leading features are complimented by increased chassis control.

A powerful first impression is made by the new external design.

The dramatic outward alterations immediately set KICKS apart from the competition, while keeping KICKS' compact urban crossover dimensions – with its vast interior space and nimble, city-sized appearance for effortless maneuvering. The updated Nissan KICKS comes in three trim levels: KICKS S, KICKS SV, and KICKS SL. Starting with a dramatic front end, the new KICKS has a more aggressive bumper that merges in with the new "Double V-motion" grille, giving the SUV a more powerful SUV appearance.

The SL grade's super-thin LED multi-reflector design adds to the high-tech, sophisticated, and premium appearance of the new LED headlights. Meanwhile, both the SV and SL trim levels are equipped with standard LED fog lights.

A sleek rear end starts with a redesigned bumper and back door finisher, as well as a side-to-side LED combo light that adds a strong horizontal line to emphasize KICKS' wide rear structure. The new rear bumper, like the front, gives the impression of more "lifted" volume and a luxury feel.

The new KICKS keeps its floating roof and wrap-around visor design on the windscreen and side glass. With a black finish that fits into the tailgate window while yet allowing outstanding outward view for all, the wide C-pillar appears buried. Intelligent Auto Headlights with adjustable sensitivity and timing are standard exterior elements, as are a rear wiper and available roof rails, heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a rear roof spoiler.

The Nissan KICKS is known for its brilliant colors, and it continues to be offered in a variety of them. Three new colors have been added to the vibrant premium palette: Electric Blue Metallic, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat (premium color), and Boulder Gray Pearl. Gun Metallic, Super Black, Aspen White TriCoat (premium color), Power White, and Brilliant Silver are also available.

Super Black Roof/Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Super Black Roof/Electric Blue Metallic, and Super Black Roof/Boulder Gray Pearl are among the five two-tone paint combinations offered. Super Black/Aspen White TriCoat and Super Black/Monarch Orange Metallic are also available.

Interior has been remodeled to be smart and attractive.

The SL grades' new seat color and door trim design, as well as a full center console with an armrest, provide the New KICKS interior a more sophisticated and luxurious feel.

A D-shaped steering wheel, comfy 6-way driver's seat, 4-way adjustable front passenger seat, and 60/40-split fold-down back seat give the cabin a sporty feel. The new KICKS, like previous models, offers plenty of passenger space throughout the cabin, including best-in-class front seat legroom.

Nissan Safety Shield® 360, which features Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, radar-based Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, comes standard on all KICKS for added peace of mind. KICKS has an optional Intelligent Around View® Monitor, which is among the numerous on-board technology.

The KICKS SL Premium Package features the class-exclusive Bose Speakers, which combine eight speakers and unique Bose signal processing to deliver "360 degrees of immersive sound," as Bose describes it. A pair of lightweight 2.5-inch Bose UltraNearfieldTM neodymium speakers positioned inside the KICKS' driver's seat headrest are key to its dynamic sound.

The audio settings of the infotainment system include a Bose Personal Space Control feature, which allows for changeable listening options ranging from front-focused sound to a wider, more enveloping experience. A digital amplifier with six channels of custom equalization and digital system processing is also included in the system. On the SV and SL grades, the new Nissan KICKS now includes standard Apple CarPlay® and Android AutoTM to keep drivers connected at all times.

A crossover for the adventurous

A 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine with Continuous Variable Valve Timing Control System is standard on every KICKS. The engine produces 118 horsepower and 155 Newton Meters of torque, and the front wheels are driven by a smooth Xtronic transmission.

KICKS includes a Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Start Assist, front disc/rear drum Anti-lock Braking System (S grade), and electronic power steering as standard equipment. New rear disc brakes are available on the KICKS SV and SL grades.

An electronic parking brake with auto hold is standard on the SL grade, which can reduce driver workload in certain scenarios. KICKS also comes with an Integrated Dynamic-Control Module that features Active Engine Brake, Intelligent Trace Control, and Intelligent Ride Control to aid in the handling of the vehicle.

A front independent strut, stabilizer bar suspension is coupled with a rear suspension with a twist beam and twin-tube shock absorbers for nimble handling. 16-inch Alloy wheels with 205/60R16 all-season tires are standard on the KICKS S grade. The 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels on the KICKS SV and SL grades are wrapped in 205/55R17 all-season tires.

In addition, KICKS has a total of ten airbags. The SL grade has Intelligent Driver Alertness and Rear Door Alert as standard features.
