It’s that time of the year again when the country hosts Project Qatar — the biggest and most prominent trade exhibition of construction materials, equipment, and technologies.

The 20th edition of the exhibition, which will be held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, will kick off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre on May 27.

The four-day exhibition will be held with the support of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

IFP Qatar, the exhibition’s organisers, said the event will feature 120 international companies from 25 nations. 130 Qatari companies, led by major governmental, semi-governmental agencies, and prominent private sector companies, will also take part.

“The 20th edition of Project Qatar represents a culmination of achievements and milestones, highlighting the exhibition’s pivotal role in driving growth, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of the construction sector,” said IFP Qatar’s General Manager Haidar Mshaimesh.

Hamad Mohammed Al Nasr, Assistant Director (Trade Development and Investment Promotion) at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, spoke about the exhibition’s importance.

“International trade exhibitions play a pivotal role in promoting trade exchange locally and internationally. Project Qatar is one of the most prominent exhibitions in Qatar that plays this role, given its enduring legacy and distinguished record of attracting numerous international companies every year,” he said.

For the second consecutive year, Project Qatar will present a dedicated showcase area called ‘Qatar Industries,’ aimed at presenting the Qatari industrial sector to an international audience.

The 20th edition will focus on the robust growth of Qatar’s manufacturing sector witnessed over the past few years. It will also address smart manufacturing technologies through a dedicated showcase area, featuring several providers of advanced technologies with multiple applications in industrial production.
