70 percent of services offered electronically by the Public Prosecution

70 percent of the services provided by the Public Prosecution have been made available electronically.
In addition to self-service devices, these services are available through the Public Prosecution website and a newly created mobile application.
The Public Prosecution recently released a new edition of its electronic services app for smart mobile devices, which includes 46 different services.
The new electronic services program for the Public Prosecution is the second iteration of an application that was first launched in 2016.

Khaled Al Otaibi, Head of Information Technology Policies and Planning Department at the Public Prosecution, said, “The launch of the new application aims at providing most of the services in a digital form and to ensure that people are facilitated without any need to visit the Public Prosecution headquarters or other service centres.”
“The new mobile application launched by the Public Prosecution, in addition to other e-platforms, succeeded in reducing visitors to the Public Prosecution by high percentage. The new version of the application is available in Arabic and English,” he added.
The mobile application also allows users to log in via the government's authentication system, with a technical help center provided by the Public Prosecution.
According to the official, just 30 percent of services are given by the Public Prosecution headquarters and other service centers.
The new app is in accordance with the Public Prosecution's goal of meeting global digital access standards and offering round-the-clock services to the public.
Individuals, as well as public and private organisations, can benefit from the app services, according to Al Otaibi.
In addition to lawyers who are registered with the Ministry of Justice, it assists legal representatives of companies by allowing them access to communications.
Inquiring about communications, requests, and judgements, registering and following up on complaints, submitting requests, electronic payment of fines, seeing session dates, receiving a photocopy of the communication file, and many other services are available through the application.
