ADLSA launches platform dedicated to labor complaints and violations

By QLNews

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (ADLSA) has launched today the first phase of the ‘Unified Platform for Complaints & Whistleblowers’, allowing employees and workers to file complaints.

The platform encourages workers from both the private and domestic sectors, citizens, and residents to file whistle-blower complaints on general violations of the labor law.

According to the Ministry, “It is an electronic platform through which citizens, expatriates, and establishments can file a complaint against entities subject to the provisions of Qatar Labor Law No. 14 of 2004 and the Domestic Workers Law promulgated by Law No. 15 of 2017 or the entities that the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs regulates their business”.

The first phase of the platform will allow users to apply for the following complaints; firm labor complaint (Qatari or non-Qatari) against establishments, domestic workers complaint against employers, and file a report of a violation.

Moreover, one can also report on explicit violations of the labor law such as the gathering of workers, inappropriate accommodation for workers, and explicit violations at the worksite.

A report can also be filled without revealing the identity of the reporter or user. In order to file a report, please visit the following website.
