AFC Asian Cup ticket sales to be announced soon
Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari, the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Local Committee for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup remarked in an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the tournament’s Local Committee will soon announce the plan for selling tickets and their issuance mechanism. The procedure will be in tandem with the official agreement with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The ticket sales and issue mechanism is to be announced soon and will probably adopt a similar methodology to the ticketing plan adopted during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
According to Al Kuwari, the Hayya Card with its special conditions and procedures is the easiest mode of access to Qatar for residents and GCC residents. There is a possibility of linking them with the tournament tickets and this may be soon announced by the relevant authorities.
The AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 will happen early next year in Qatar from January 12, 2024 to February 10, 2024. To be held in six World Cup stadiums, AFC Asian Cup is expected to garner a massive number of attendees and highly benefit the league. The hosting stadiums are Al Bayt Stadium, Al Thumama Stadium, Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Education City Stadium, and Khalifa Internatioal Stadium, in addition to Jassin bin Hamad Stadium and Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.
Al Kuwari also mentioned that the league matches will be held in the clubs' stadiums since the World Cup stadiums will be prepared to host the 2023 AFC Asian Cup and the 2024 AFC U-23 Finals.
