Ahmed Al-Shahrani first and fastest person to cross Qatar in a wheelchair

Ahmed Al-Shahrani has set a Guinness World Record for being the first and fastest para-athlete to cross Qatar in a wheelchair.

According to Guinness World Records Arabia, Ahmed Al-Shahrani achieved this record title to honor and encourage the inclusion and participation of people with disabilities in sports.

Moreover, his special achievement goes down in the books as the "Fastest Crossing of Qatar by wheelchair".

On April 1, at 6 pm, Ahmed set off on a 200-kilometer trek which began in Abu Samra, located South of Qatar, and headed towards the North, Jnobha.

On April 3, Ahmed arrived in Al Ruwais Port, one of Qatar's most remote locations in the north. He covered a total distance of 200.1 kilometers in 1 day, 17 hours, and 55 minutes.
