Al Wakra's medical services will move to Al Mashaf on January 1

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) tweeted that the medical commission service at Al Wakra Health Centre has been stopped yesterday. The service will move to the newly opened Al Mashaf Health Centre starting January 1, 2023.
The PHCC said Al Wakra Health Centre's medical commission service ended on December 29. Al Wakra Health Centre's limited capacity necessitated this decision to reduce overcrowding.
After Umm Al Seneem and Al Mashaf opened, the PHCC operates 30 health centers. While all the health centers provide ‘medical fitness certificates’ to registered patients, only nine of these PHCC health centers including Al Mashaf health center provide urgent care services.
At selected PHCC health centres, new migrant domestic employees (family housemaids/family drivers) can complete all MoI residence permit exams and tests. They can call helpline 107 to reschedule appointments.
Al Ruwais Health Centre, Al Kaaban Health Centre, Umm Slal Health Centre, Al Gharrafa Health Centre, Al Sheehaniya Health Centre, Abu Baker Sidiq Health Centre, Rawdat Al Khail Health Centre, Muaither Health Centre, and the recently opened Al Mashaf Health Centre provide urgent care services 24/7.
The PHCC pursues the National Primary Health Care Strategy, which aims to improve patient access to high-quality health care and satisfy patients and customers.
