The Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, met today with Canadian Prime Minister HE Justin Trudeau at the House of Commons in Ottawa. Prime Minister Trudeau warmly welcomed the Amir and his delegation, praising the strong friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Canada. He expressed optimism that the visit would further enhance bilateral relations across various sectors.

The Amir conveyed his gratitude for the warm reception and reiterated Qatar's commitment to strengthening collaboration with Canada, with the goal of fostering regional and global peace and stability. 

Discussions during the meeting focused on investment, economic cooperation, and international collaboration. Both leaders also addressed the situation in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, as well as broader regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides,m including Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.
