The construction was done with the aim of designing a model green building that can exist in a country with desert climate.
Secretary General of the International Horticultural Expo 2023, Mohammed Al Khourri expressed his delight at the main building receiving a world title just before the start of Expo 2023 Doha, noting that this achievement will add great momentum to the event.
Buildings Projects Department Manager, Engineer Jaralla Mohammed Al Marri stated that Ashghal always strives to reach the global level through its projects, noting that the new Guinness World Record set by the main building in Expo 2023 Doha is a new global recognition of ‘Ashghal’ projects in accomplishing internationally recognized achievements.
In addition to the main building, Ashghal stated that it has also completed the construction of the internal exhibition, service buildings and prepared the external and internal gardens of the exhibition to accommodate participants and visitors of one of the most significant horticultural exhibitions in the Middle East.

The new achievement of the ‘World’s Largest Green Roof’ brings up the tally to six Guinness World records set by Ashghal in Qatar.
