A chance to see the rare ‘planetary parade’ in Doha on Saturday

On Saturday, January 25, Qatar’s residents can witness a rare celestial event — a planetary parade — as six planets align for a stunning show in the night sky.

While Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and Mars will be clearly visible, there will be a possibility to spot Uranus and Neptune as well.

The Qatar Astronomy & Space Club, in collaboration with Everester Observatory, is inviting the public to witness this event on Saturday, from 6pm to 8pm, at the Old Doha Port.

Ajith Everester, a Qatar-based astrophotographer who also founded the Everester Observatory, said the alignment presented a rare opportunity to observe the bright planets — Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn — through telescopes.

“Uranus and Neptune, while part of the alignment, might be challenging to see due to their faintness, especially from urban locations,” he was quoted as saying by The Peninsula.

While the cosmic treat will continue throughout February, the planet’s positions will gradually shift as the weeks progress.

“People who can’t attend the observation event can try to spot the planets as they’ll remain visible in February. However, as days pass, Venus and Saturn will move closer to the western horizon, making the observation window smaller and tougher,” Navin Anand, a Qatar-based amateur astronomer, was quoted as saying by The Peninsula.

American Space Agency NASA said the planetary alignment do not involve the planets physically lining up in space, but rather appearing in a line from our vantage point on Earth, owing to the planets’ distinct orbits around the Sun.

To participate in the free event, interested individuals can contact Ajith Everester or Navin Anand via WhatsApp at 55482045 and 30889582, or join the Qatar Astronomy & Space Club for updates on future events.

Regrettably, I am one of the victims of the California fire disaster, my wife and I were only able to move out with our phones, laptops and a car before the fire engulfed our house. We are currently sheltering at my brother’s place but we’ll be moving to a hotel tomorrow and from there we’ll figure out how to get a new apartment to rent. This has been made possible because I decided to contact (RECOVERYCOINGROUP AT GMAIL .COM) to see if he can help recover the huge amount of money we lost to a bad cryptocurrency investment last year. We got talking and the same day he swung into action with the information I provided, to my surprise he has been able to recover OVER 70 percent of the stolen BITCOIN worth over $109,300 and I am confident the rest will be recovered soon. I couldn't hold back the excitement that came with this and so I decided to share with you all. I am overwhelmed.
