Children can register for Al Mina Pearl Diving Competition until June 10
Qatar, taking great pride in its history, has always gone the extra mile to keep its traditions and activities alive.
The art of pearl diving has been deeply ingrained into Qatari history. And to celebrate it, the Beaches Department at the Katara Cultural Village is organising the Al Mina Pearl Diving Competition for kids (10 to 15 years).

The competition is expected to help young people connect to their country’s rich maritime heritage and learn about it in more detail. It will also help them get a feel of the life which their elders lived during the era of pearl diving.
Those wishing to register can do so by visiting the Beaches Department on the fifth floor, from 10am until 3pm.
The competing children will be divided into teams of 12, where each team will be accompanied by Noukhatha, Majdami and Rdif.
