DFI opens registration for young jurors at Ajyal Film Festival 2022

For the Special 10th edition of the Ajyal Film Festival in 2022, which is scheduled to run from October 1–8, the Doha Film Institute (DFI) is now inviting applications from potential jurors.
The 2022 Special Edition of the Ajyal Film Festival is DFI's tribute to the country during a historic year and will offer Jury members exclusive access to talks, workshops, and Masterclasses in an innovative format that will maximize accessibility and experience for the Jury members and industry guests.
The 2022 Ajyal Jurors become a part of a very special edition, with the Ajyal Film Festival being held with an expanded program of two events, one dedicated to the Jurors in October and the second, an uplifting public event from November 22 to December 16. These dates coincide with the country hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, the most anticipated sporting event in the world.
The Ajyal Jury Experience hosts over 500 jurors each year, in order to participate in a priceless cultural experience and explore the fascinating world of cinema through carefully chosen film screenings, workshops, and discussions. Ajyal Jury is given the freedom to express themselves creatively in three age-specific groups while learning about cinema as a tool for fostering social change in a friendly and cooperative setting.
Ajyal Jury Experience is a truly unique cultural initiative, according to Fatma Hassan Alremaihi, Chief Executive Officer of the Doha Film Institute. It brings together young people from all over the world for a week-long celebration of film that will not only deepen their understanding of the world but also help them develop their interpersonal and professional skills. The kids have also had the chance to explore new realms of creativity and cultural understanding.
More than 500 jurors from 45 different countries participated in the Ajyal Jury last year.
