Doha Metro and Lusail Tram announce suspension of Gold & Family carriages
Doha Metro has stated that only Standard Class carriages would be available for use to the public, beginning on November 11, 2022.
From 11 November to 22 December 2022, all carriages will be Standard Class in order to increase train capacity during the FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022™ period. Gold & Family will be suspended for this period.#DohaMetro #LusailTram #MovingTheWorld pic.twitter.com/mWcmwZpfxd

There will be temporary discontinuation of the Gold and Family Class up to December 22, 2022. As the FIFA 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar, this measure is being taken to increase train capacity for the event.
Every day of the week except Friday, when service will begin at 9 am, the whole fleet of Metro trains and trams will be in operation from 6 am to 3 am. This includes 37 metro stations and 7 tram stations.
